Description
The water column at Goathland Station, dating from around 1865, was built for the North-Eastern Railway Company. It is made of painted cast iron and features a tall, tapering cylindrical shape topped with a ball finial. A swan-necked cross-piece serves as the water spout, and there is a drip cup on the tall cylindrical post.
