Description
The workshop and water tank at Goathland Station, built around 1865 for the North-Eastern Railway Company, is a Grade II listed structure. The workshop features a rockfaced sandstone base and is a single-storey, one-bay building. It has a segment-headed plank door on the west side and 25-pane windows with stone sills on the north and south sides, all of which are segment-arched. Above the workshop, there is a cast iron water tank. The building also includes a moulded cornice beneath the tank, which is decorated with cross-braced panels.
