Description
Wheat Hill Cottage is a house located in Goathland, dating from the early 19th century, with a later extension. It is built of squared sandstone and features a pantile roof. The cottage has a central-entry plan and is two stories high with a three-window front, flanked by one-story, one-window wings. A projecting porch includes a four-pane window at the front and a six-panel, part-glazed door on the right side. The main front has 16-pane sash windows, while the wings have small four-pane lights, all with stone sills. Each opening has plain lintels. The cottage has coped gables and block kneelers, with end stacks on the main roof and pent roofs over the wings.
