Description
Willow Cottage (rear) is a house that is attached to the back of Viewley Cottage and Willow Cottage. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone some alterations. The building is constructed of coursed, tooled sandstone, primarily in a herringbone pattern, with irregular stone in the lower courses and a rendered west front. It features a pantiled roof with a stone ridge, copings, and kneelers, along with rendered stacks. The house has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, with three very irregular bays. The central entrance has a six-panel door beneath a bracketed cornice hood. To the right is a late 19th-century sash window, while the left and above have 20th-century casements, with the left window in a moved opening. All openings are adorned with long, raised keystones. The building has block kneelers and end stacks, with a basement sash window on the left return. Additionally, there is a door, a small inserted window, and a ground-floor sash window above on the right return.
