Description
Eden House is a house that dates from the early to mid-19th century, though it may have been remodeled from an older building. It is constructed of pecked coursed sandstone and features a renewed pantiled roof with stone coping and kneeler, a tile ridge, and brick stacks. The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has three bays.
The entrance is an off-centre Victorian six-panel door that is partly glazed, set within a stone surround with raised jambs and a bracketed hood above. Flanking the door are sash windows with side margins, while the centre window on the first floor is narrower and has full margins. All windows have projecting moulded cills. There are two raking roof dormers, each with similar sashes and slate cheeks, positioned on the eaves. The left gable features coping and a curved kneeler, and the end chimneys have been rebuilt. The house is included for its group value.
