Description
The Old School in Sneaton Village is a school building dating from around 1825, with a later 19th-century extension, designed by Colonel James Wilson. It is constructed from coursed rubble sandstone, featuring a porch made of rusticated sandstone, with tooled dressings and a slate roof. The building is single-storey with a three-bay front. The entrance consists of a pointed board door set within a projecting gabled porch, which is flanked by single pointed lights that have hollow-chamfered surrounds. The gables are coped and have plain kneelers, and there is a stack at the left end. At the rear, there are three pointed windows, and the right side has one pointed window. The building was disused at the time of the resurvey.
