Description

White Cottage is a house located in Snaeton Village, dating from the 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. The building is constructed of dressed sandstone and features a pantile roof. Originally, it had a single-cell, direct-entry layout but has been extended at the front. The cottage is two stories high and has a two-window front. The 20th-century extension includes a part-glazed door that projects and is gabled. To the left of the extension is a small-pane tripartite window with a central sash, and at the far left is a small-pane fire window. The first-floor windows are two-light, 8-pane horizontal sliding sashes. There is a stack at the left end. Inside, notable features include a chamfer-stopped bressummer and beam, along with plank doors on butterfly hinges.
