Description

Ruswarp Mill is a three-storey brick mill dating to 1753. It was constructed at the expense of Nathaniel Cholmley and engineered by Philip Williams, as recorded on a plaque between the first-floor windows, dated 1752. The building has a half-hipped slate roof, stone heads and keyblocks to the six sash windows, and a stone dentilled eaves cornice. A lean-to extension covers almost the entire ground floor. A later addition is visible on the right side. The interior was damaged by fire in 1911.
