Description

Carr Cottage, built in 1811, is a two-storey building located on The Carrs in Ruswarp. It is constructed of painted brick and features a pantile roof. The cottage has two windows with segmental arches, one of which is a two-light window, and the other is a one-light window. These windows have moulded wood frames and double-hung sashes without glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two single-light windows and a four-panel door, which is topped by a semi-circular pedimented hood supported by consoles. Carr Cottage, along with Mulgrove Cottage and Nos 1 to 5 (consecutive), forms a group of buildings.
