Description

Gate Cottage is a small cottage, probably built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from rendered cob and features a thatched roof. The building is positioned with its end facing the road and is a single storey with an attic. It has two bays, along with an added lower bay at the road end. The front of the cottage includes a central porch with a pent roof. On each side, there are two-light casement windows, and above these, there are two-light eyebrow dormers. Additionally, there is a two-light casement window in the road bay. The roof is hipped, and there is a chimney stack at the road end of the original cottage.
