Description
Stud Farmhouse, dating to circa 1885, was built for ATT Peterson. The house is constructed of mass concrete, built in “lifts”, and has a painted slate roof. It is a two-storey, two-pile, two-bay building. The front elevation features a square-plan, rounded-roof porch with a cambered head opening facing forward, positioned between the piles. There are five twelve-pane sashes. The building has moulded timber bargeboards, and stacks are situated at the centre of the ridges of both piles. It was likely built on part of the Arnewood estate of ATT Peterson, who was known for pioneering concrete construction.
