Avon Water House is a house built in the mid-19th century, with extensions added in the late 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof. The building is oriented end on to the road and consists of two stories with four bays, along with a 1½ storey bay at the far end and a service range at the rear that includes further extensions.
The front of the house has a square-plan, flat-roofed porch on the right-hand bay of the main block, which contains a four-panel door and a dentilled cornice. On the first floor, there is a low-set small 12-pane sash window. The other bays also feature 12-pane sash windows. The roof is hipped, and the right-hand end includes the 1½ storey bay with a hipped roof.
