Description
King's Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of brick, including many blue bricks, and has a slate roof. The building is set well back from the road and is two stories tall with four bays. There is a wing at the rear of one end bay and low additions to the rest of the structure.
The front features a full-height late 18th-century bowed wing to the right of center, with a 4-centred sash window on both floors and a raised parapet topped with three small urns. The bays on either side have similar sash windows of various sizes. The left-hand bay is blank except for a small low-set light. There are chimney stacks at the right end and in the center, with a stack on the face of the roof over the left-hand bay. The right-hand end has 20th-century additions that include matching 4-centred openings.
