Description
Brockenhurst Baptist Church is a Baptist church that incorporates an 18th century house and a chapel built in 1841. The chapel is constructed of brick in English bond with blue headers on the front, while the rest is rendered brick, topped with old plain tile roofs. The building features a three-bay chapel facing the road, which is positioned in front of half of the two-storey, three-bay 18th century house, causing the house to project at one end. At the other end, there is a late 19th century porch.
The front of the church has the chapel set on a low rendered plinth, with corner pilasters and three pointed windows that have coloured narrow edge panes, along with a small moulded cornice. On the right-hand end, there is a gabled porch facing the road, which includes a pointed door with a small light and moulded brickwork. On the left-hand end, the house projects back with a four-pane door beneath a tented hood supported by posts, and on both floors, there are 12-pane sash windows. The building also features a gable end stack.
