Description

These are farm buildings located approximately 20 meters north of Winster House, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble, with some dressed stone and large quoins. The buildings are arranged in a U-shape, with a barn situated to the east. The bank barn features an east facade with three wide bays, where the central bay projects forward beneath a coped gable. The roof is hipped and adorned with two ball finials. There is a band above the lower level and below the gable.

The lower level includes entrances flanked by segmental-headed windows, which are sashed with vertical glazing bars. The central bay has an entrance set in a round-headed recess. The upper level features a segmental-headed winnowing door, while the outer bays have segmental-headed recesses. The right side of the building has a lean-to outshut with a single gable above a pointed entrance. The rear of the barn has an entrance sheltered by a pentice.

The south range includes a round-arched passageway with a dove cote above it to the north, along with a gable-end finial and an entrance accessed by steps. The west range contains an open-fronted shed, with recessed bays to the right that feature large and small entrances along with a window. There are two cross-axial stacks. The lower level of the barn is divided into cow-house partitions, while the first bay contains stable partitions.
