Description
Winster House is a house dated 1827, possibly designed by Webster. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. There is a sill band on the first floor and wide bracketed eaves. The ground floor windows are set in segmental-headed recesses, and all windows are sashed with glazing bars. The central entrance includes an overlight with glazing bars and a half-glazed door; the porch has likely been altered and features an entablature. There are two cross-axial stacks. The left side of the house is similar, with three bays and sashed windows with glazing bars, and an entrance at the first bay. The right side has varied window styles; the ground floor window and a tall stair window have small-paned fixed glazing with opening lights. The rear of the house includes a gabled first bay with a gable-end stack and a later lean-to outshut that has a sashed window on the return.
