Description
Toddell Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from the early 18th century and feature some alterations from the 19th century. The farmhouse is finished in painted incised stucco with angle pilasters and has a graduated greenslate roof with cement rendered chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the barn located on the right under a common roof. The farmhouse has a recessed panelled door and sash windows with glazing bars, all set in painted stone surrounds; the right ground-floor window is a double casement. The barn is constructed of painted roughcast over slate rubble and also has a graduated greenslate roof. It features large double plank doors and smaller doorways on either side, all in plain openings and sheltered by a slate canopy supported by original beams.
