Description
Stanger House is a house dated 1695, as indicated by the inscription over the side entrance, with 19th-century alterations. The building features cement rendered walls and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof and brick chimney stacks. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with an additional two bays on the right that seem to have been part of a former stable or barn, all under a common roof. The entrance includes a top-glazed panelled door, and the windows are sash types set in chamfered surrounds. The left return wall displays a 17th-century chamfered surround and a dated lintel. The former stable or barn has a double sash window beneath the sash windows, all framed in 19th-century painted stone surrounds.
