Description
Shatton Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century. It features incised painted stucco and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof, which has painted roughcast chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of seven bays. The entrance has a six-panel door set in a painted stone architrave, which is topped by a plain frieze and cornice.
To the left of the entrance, there are two windows that have been enlarged but remain partly within their original surrounds. On the right, two windows are blind but feature painted false glazing bars. The upper floor has two three-light stone-mullioned windows, while most of the other windows have had their mullions removed and replaced with small-paned sash windows, all of which are under continuous hoodmoulds on both floors. The right return wall displays sash windows with glazing bars set in 19th-century painted stone surrounds. Inside, there is a blocked former inglenook.
