Description
Near Orrest Farmhouse is a building that dates back to 1834, with origins in the 16th century and alterations around 1700. It features a roughcast exterior and an old slate roof, characterized by round chimneys and very low proportions. The structure is two storeys high, with a wide low gable on the right side that has two 6-paned sash windows on each floor. To the left, there is a long wing with two windows on the upper floor and four on the lower floor, which are irregularly spaced. The roof extends over a barn and shippons to the left, and it also projects at right angles from the left end, featuring arrow slits and a drying canopy over the ground floor. The interior reportedly includes a cupboard dated 1701.
