Description
Springside Farmhouse and Springside Cottage is a building that dates back to the 18th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The structure has a rectangular double-depth two-bay plan and stands two storeys high with cellars.
On the front, there is a 20th-century porch that protects two doorways. To the left of the porch is a horizontal-rectangular window that was likely originally a three-light window with mullions, but it has been altered to a four-pane sash. To the right, there is a similar window that has been changed to a three-light casement. On the first floor, there are two three-light windows with flat-faced flush mullions, all of which have plain surrounds. In the centre of the first floor, there is an inserted single-light window. The building features gable chimneys.
At the left end of the farmhouse, there is an attached garage that is not included in the listing. The rear of the building has similar flush mullion windows and a doorway to the cellars with a plain surround.
