Description
New Farmhouse and barn adjoining is a farmhouse and barn built in the early 18th century, with an addition dated and inscribed over the doorway as J. & P.M. 1741, along with further additions from the mid-19th century. The building features painted roughcast walls with late 19th-century rock-faced quoins and a graduated greenslate roof, which includes painted roughcast chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays of double span, with the barn located under a common roof to the right. The entrance includes a panelled door with a gabled stone porch that has internal side seats. The windows are sash style, along with one remaining flat two-light stone-mullioned window, all set within original 18th-century painted stone surrounds. The barn features a recessed cart doorway with flanking pent extensions.
