Description

Birkett Mire is a farmhouse and adjoining barns dating from the late 18th century. The building features roughcast walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, complemented by brick and roughcast chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with barns on either side that have a lower roof line. The front includes a 20th-century door flanked by double sash windows, all set in painted stone surrounds. The barn to the left has large end plank doors and otherwise has plain walls without openings.
