Description
Yew Tree Hall is a brewery building, likely a former maltings, that now serves as a village hall. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The structure features slate rubble walls with flush calciferous sandstone quoins, some areas are rendered, and the rear wall is partly slate hung. It has a graduated greenslate roof and stands two storeys high with a basement, comprising six irregular bays. At each end, there is a tall boarded door with an overlight, and a small basement door is located between them. Loading doors near the ends have been altered to windows. The upper floor has three small casement windows, with one similar window below. The rear west end has a more regular arrangement of similar windows, a tall pent porch, and another loading door that has been converted into a window.
