Description
Miteside is a house, likely built in the mid-19th century, which was originally an extension of a cottage but is now a separate dwelling. The exterior is pebble-dashed and sits on a chamfered plinth, featuring rusticated quoins and an eaves band. It has a cast-iron gutter with applied lions' heads. The roof is hipped and covered with graduated slate, with rendered chimneys at each end. The house is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays. There is a part-glazed door located in a central porch that is semicircular in plan and has Greek detailing. On either side of the door are sash windows, and there are three additional sash windows above, all featuring glazing bars set in stone surrounds. The adjoining cottage and outbuildings are not of interest.
