Description
Gilmarver Flat and Lile Teashop, formerly listed as Gilmarver House, is a pair of houses and a shop dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. The building is roughcast with a slate roof and is oriented at a right angle to Main Street. It has two storeys and four bays, with two bays allocated to each house. Most of the windows are sashed with glazing bars, while the third and fourth bays on the ground floor feature tripartite sashes. The first two bays on the first floor have casement windows. There is a garage door in the first bay and an entrance in the second bay with a glazed door. The entrance to Gilmarver House, located between the third and fourth bays, has a gabled canopy and a panelled door with two flush panels, two fielded panels above, and a top light with decorative glazing. The building has a cross-axial stack and a gable-end stack. The right return facing Main Street has three bays, with the first two under a gable. This side includes one sashed window with glazing bars, a teashop window and entrance on the ground floor, a blind window, and two sashed windows with glazing bars on the first floor, along with a gable-end stack. The rear features a stair window with leaded glazing.
