Description
The stone archway and adjoining garage, dating from the early 19th century, is located on Priory Green in Dunster. The archway is approximately 12 feet high and features a segmental arch made of rubble stone voussoirs, with rounded reveals that include rebates and iron hinges for gates, which are currently missing. Attached to the south of the archway is a small single-storey structure built from rubble stonework and covered with plain tiles. This structure has a central segmental coach arch with brick voussoirs and a key, along with a double plank door. Additionally, there are two reused 17th century oak moulded frame mullion windows with wooden lintels. The garage opens to the west gable end.
