Description
The railings to the Town Mill Leat, located in front of Nos 113 (not included), 114 (Woodview), and 115 Plymouth Road, as well as No. 36 Bossell Road in Buckfastleigh, date from the mid to late 19th century. These iron railings consist of two horizontal round-section rails, with the top rail being thicker and featuring scrolled ends. The rails are threaded through round-section standards that have rings at the top. The Town Mill Leat is a significant historical feature of Buckfastleigh's complex urban water supply.
