Description
The railings of a bridge over a former mill leat are located 140 metres south-south-west of Court Lodge on the former drive to Bishops Court. This structure dates from around 1834 and consists of cast iron railings that feature intersecting arches with quatrefoil panels between the lower rails, along with a handrail. At either end, there are square-section iron newels topped with pyramidal caps, and each side panel has trefoil-headed depressed arches. The bases are moulded. The original roadway has been replaced with a concrete one, and the other railing of the pair is no longer present.
