Description

Nos 10 and 12 Lower Street are a pair of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century and renovated around 1985. They are constructed from granite stone rubble, featuring granite stacks with granite ashlar chimney shafts that are topped with brick, and have a thatched roof. The cottages are arranged along the street, facing southeast, each with a one-room plan. No 10 is on the left and includes a rear lateral stack, while No 12 has an axial stack that backs onto a passageway at the right end. There are secondary service outshots at the rear. The buildings are two storeys high, with an overall three-window front that includes 20th-century casements with glazing bars. The cottage doors are also from the 20th century, and the passageway is open. The roof runs parallel to the street. The interiors have not been inspected.
