CHAGFORD LOWER STREET, (west side), SX 7087 Chagford 6/133 Nos 10 and 12 -

GV II

Pair of cottages. Probably early C19, renovated circa 1985. Granite stone rubble; granite stacks with granite ashlar chimney shafts topped with brick; thatch roof. Plan: pair of cottages built along the street and facing south-east. Each has a 1- room plan. No 10 is on the left and has a rear lateral stack. No 12 has an axial stack backing on to a passageway through the right end. Secondary service outshots to rear. 2 storeys. Exterior: overall 3-window front of C20 casements with glazing bars. The cottage doors are also C20. The passage is open. The roof runs parallel with the street. Interiors not inspected.
