Description
This is a late 18th or early 19th century house in Peter Tavy. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble with a gable ended slate roof. The original plan included two main rooms at the front and a rear outshut containing smaller service rooms. A central entrance with stairs is positioned at the rear, projecting into the outshut. The front of the house presents a symmetrical three-window façade with original 12-pane hornless sash windows. A central, open-fronted porch, dating to the 19th century, features an early 19th century part-glazed door. A modillion cornice runs beneath the eaves. Along the rear wall is an integral outshut, with a taller stair tower positioned centrally, having original windows and a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected, but may retain original plasterwork and joinery.
