Description
This is a range of farm buildings located about 25 metres south-east of Lizwell Farmhouse, built between 1844 and 1889. The buildings are constructed from granite rubble and have roofs covered with corrugated iron. The range is situated at the lower east side of the farmyard, complementing the U-shaped range to the north, with narrow spaces left at either end for access between the two ranges. Most of this range is single-storeyed and includes shippons, a pigsty, and a place for carts, although there is an upper storey with a loading door at the north end. The doorways on the ground storey feature granite lintels. The information is based on the tithe map of 1844 from the Devon Record Office and the 6-inch Ordnance Survey Map of 1889.
