WIDECOMBE-IN- PONSWORTHY SX 77 SW THE-MOOR 6/244 Forder Cottages (the pair - immediately west of the Splash)

GV II

Pair of cottages. Probably early C19, with additions at rear. Granite rubble. Thatched roof. Projecting stone chimneystack with offsets in each gable-wall. Single-depth range. 2 storeys. 4 windows wide; ground-storey openings with heavy granite lintels. Casement windows, those in left-hand cottage possibly original, those on right C20 replacements. Plank doors, that on left old, that on right C20. Right-hand cottage has a C20 wooden hood, but left-hand cottage has an earlier hood encased in a C20 porch.
