Description
Forder Cottages are a pair of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century, with later additions at the rear. They are constructed from granite rubble and feature a thatched roof. Each cottage has a projecting stone chimneystack with offsets located in the gable walls. The cottages are arranged in a single-depth range and rise two storeys high, with a total of four windows across the front. The ground-floor openings are topped with heavy granite lintels. The left-hand cottage has casement windows that may be original, while the right-hand cottage has 20th-century replacements. Both cottages have plank doors, with the left-hand door being older and the right-hand door dating from the 20th century. The right-hand cottage features a 20th-century wooden hood, while the left-hand cottage has an earlier hood that is encased in a 20th-century porch.
