The Risso headstone, located approximately 7 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Throwleigh, is likely from the 18th century and commemorates Edward Risso. It is an upright slab with a rounded top, standing about 200 millimetres high. The front features an inscription in plain Roman capitals that notes the burial of Edward Risso, although the date is not visible.
