The main inscription, in leaded lettering on the lower tier of the plinth, reads on the west face: "TO THE GLORY OF THE UNDIVIDED TRINITY IN MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR A.D. 1914-1918." The north face states: "ETERNAL REST GRANT TO THEM O LORD, AND LET LIGHT PERPETUAL SHINE UPON THEM." The east face includes: "PRAY FOR THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR ESPECIALLY" followed by two names. The upper tier of the east face is inscribed with "VIA CRUCIS." The south face bears the inscription: "HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD PRAY FOR US SINNERS NOW AND AT THE HOUR OF OUR DEATH AMEN." Additionally, the upper tier of the plinth has an inscription on the south face that reads: "1939" followed by two names and "1945."
