Description

Ash Bridge is a road bridge over Blackaton Brook, built around 1830-1840. It is constructed from rusticated granite ashlar and features a small single span. The plain vault consists of a segmental arch that springs from vertical abutments. At road level, there is a plain dripcourse that ramps up towards the center. The parapet has rounded coping and curves at each end, with small terminal piers that project externally.
