Description
The remains of the Chapel of St Michael are medieval ruins located on Brent Hill. Documentary evidence indicates that the chapel existed in 1374. Currently, only the lower courses of the walls and their foundations are visible. The site is on a prominent and steep-sided hill that features outcrops of rock. Additionally, there are ancient earthworks on the east side of Brent Hill. The chapel remains are designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
