Description
The Church of St. Michael in Sco Ruston is a disused parish church dating back to the medieval period. It is constructed of flint with stone dressings. The building includes a tower, nave, and a continuous chancel, along with a south porch, all of which are in a ruinous state. The tower has collapsed, while the buttressed nave and chancel, which consist of three bays, are now roofless. The west wall, added in the 19th century, features a bell-cote. There is a 19th-century south window with three lights in a Decorated style, and a southeast window dating from around 1300 that has Y-tracery. The north windows were also added in the 19th century, as was the south porch. Much of the structure is obscured by vegetation.
