Description

Church Farm Barn is a barn that features a central section from the 17th century made of flint, while the rest of the structure is from the early 18th century and constructed of brick with a thatched and pantiled roof. It is a three-stead barn that has been extended to the west and has a lower section to the east. The central section includes barn doors, and the west gable has a hayloft door along with brick tumbling in. The east gable displays tie irons dated 1720 and also features brick tumbling in. The gable of the lower section has tumbling in as well, along with a hayloft door accessed by timber entrance stairs. The barn includes brick kneelers and parapet gables, a butt purlin roof, and tie beams with mortices for wall posts and braces.
