Description
The Old Hall is a manor house primarily built in the early 19th century, with a core dating back to the 17th century. It features a stucco exterior on brick and has hipped slate roofs. The building has an 'H' shaped plan, with cross wings extending to the west and east, and a 17th-century wing projecting to the north. It stands two storeys tall.
The south facade showcases a central bay with three windows, flanked by shallow projecting gabled wings, each containing one window and supported by double clasping pilasters. Above these wings are plain pediments that form the gables. The central section includes glazed French casements and sash windows with glazing bars, while the outer windows lack glazing bars.
On the east side of the east wing, the entrance facade consists of three bays, with the central bay projecting and featuring a pedimented gable supported by double clasping pilasters. There is a projecting central porch with double three-panel doors, pilasters, and an entablature adorned with Guttae. The facade also includes sash windows. A gable stack is located to the northeast, and there is an internal stack to the south. The northern range has random fenestration, primarily consisting of 20th-century casements, alongside a 17th-century oak five-light ovolo moulded mullion window with a transom and casement, all beneath a hipped roof.
