Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of East Street, Ashburton. The front of the building is rendered, and the upper storey was likely originally timber-framed. It has a slate roof with a rendered chimney situated just behind the ridge, offset to the right. The house is two storeys high and has three windows across the front. The ground floor window openings are not aligned with those above. A doorway, positioned off-centre to the left, features flanking pilasters and an entablature, topped with a fanlight containing intersecting glazing bars. The windows are 6-paned sashes.
