Description
The Brick House is a house that likely features a late 18th century or early 19th century facade added to an earlier building. The front is made of painted brick, while the left side wall is roughcast. It has a slated roof and a red-brick chimney on the right gable wall, with a rendered chimney on the rear wall to the left. The house has two storeys and is two windows wide. The ground floor windows are round-arched with 6-paned sash windows, and the upper sashes have interlacing Gothic glazing bars. To the left, there is possibly a late 19th century pointed-arched window that may have replaced an original doorway. The upper storey windows feature flat gauged arches and 6-paned sashes. The front of the house rises to a simple cornice made of projecting bricks, topped with a parapet that has moulded coping. There is a 20th century doorway in the left side wall.
