Description
No. 6 St Mary's Lane is a house in a row, dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is timber-framed with diagonal angle bracing and has 19th-century rendered brickwork. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features a brick stack. The house has a parallel two-bay plan and is two storeys high with three windows. At the eaves, there is a small two-light window and two pairs of two-light casements, all with leaded glass, situated above two three-light casements. To the left, there is a 20th-century door, and to the right, in what was formerly a separate property, there is a wide garage door beneath a leaded casement. A 20th-century stone 'plinth' runs across the width of the two ground floor windows. There is a brick stack at the former party wall to the right, along with a later brick addition. The interior has not been inspected.
