Description
Brookside Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It features square-panelled timber framing with passing braces, while the right gable end is finished in painted brick. The cottage has a red tile roof and a rectangular plan. Originally built as one and a half storeys, it has been raised to two storeys, with imitation timber framing painted onto the heightened wall. The facade has two windows, each with two 2-light casements, some of which may be from the 19th century and include glazing bars. There is a projecting part-glazed porch with a 20th-century glass door and glazing bars located off-centre to the left. A projecting stack is present at the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
