HASFIELD The Forge

(Formerly listed as The Old Smithy)

II Detached cottage. Late C17-early C18. Square-panelled timber- framing with bracing, painted and unpainted brick infill, to ground floor of roadside front refaced in brick, red tile roof, brick stack. Rectangular plan. C19 outshut rear left not of special interest. Two storeys. Roadside front lit by-C19 and C20 one and two light casements with glazing bars: C19 metal casements with horizontal glazing bars to ground floor at rear. Central C19 plank door at rear within shallow gabled porch. Projecting gable-end stack. Interior not inspected.
