Description
The stableblock at Hasfield Court is a detached structure dating from the 16th and 19th centuries. It is built from coursed squared and dressed limestone, blue lias, and brick, topped with a red tile roof. The building has a U-shaped plan with extensions at the rear. The main body is constructed of brick, featuring gabled limestone extensions that project forward on both the right and left sides.
The facade is symmetrical, with a central gabled entrance that slightly protrudes. This entrance has double doors set within a moulded four-centred arched surround, complete with a stopped hood and pierced quatrefoils on the upper right and left. Above the entrance, there is a clock at the apex of the gable. The building includes two-light 19th-century hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned windows with stopped hoods lighting the gable above, as well as additional two and three-light stone-mullioned windows.
The main body features a parallel ridged roof, with brick dentils along the eaves. The gable ends are flat, adorned with moulded saddles and triangular kneelers, and a finial crowns the apex of the central gable. The central doorway may have been reused from an earlier structure.
