Description
The walled garden in the grounds of Hasfield Court was built around 1865. It features a wall made of red brick, consisting of two courses of stretchers, one course of four headers, and four stretchers. The bricks have ribs and are perforated on the inner face to support climbing plants. The wall is capped with limestone and has a rectangular plan, reaching up to 6 meters in height. There is an entrance on the south-east side, which includes a door made of spear-headed iron rods set within a moulded limestone surround. Above the door is the Meath-Baker family crest. The gable curves upwards and has a pointed finial at the apex, with similar pointed finials at a lower level on either side. The top of the wall is finished with flat capping.
