Description

This is a 17th-century house, originally timber-framed, situated on Stratford Bridge in Ripple. The house has been altered, with painted brick and plaster panels now covering much of the original timber frame. It is one and a half storeys high, with a thatched roof. The roof features a rebuilt wall stack at the east end and a ridge stack. The south wall has been refaced with painted brick, displaying three windows and one dormer window, plus the end walls. The north rear wall shows the exposed timber frame, including three large tension braces. A blocked doorway with a Tudor arched head is also visible on this rear wall.
