Description
A 17th-century house stands on Whistley Road, Potterne, constructed with a timber frame and painted brick, and topped with a thatched roof that is hipped on the right-hand side. A chimney stack is located at the left end. The house is one-and-a-half storeys high and exhibits exposed square framing, with a pattern of 10 panels by 3, incorporating curved tension braces to the upper row. It sits on a rubble stone base. The front facade features three pairs of leaded casement windows, along with a triple casement window and a door on the ground floor, and two further pairs of casement windows. The left-hand gable is clad in tiles, while the right-hand end wall displays rubble stone beneath the exposed timber framing. Exposed framing is also visible at the rear of the property.
