Description

This is an outbuilding, now used as a garage, located approximately 2 metres southwest of Middle Farmhouse in Alstone Village. It dates from the late 18th century to the mid-19th century and is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone with Flemish bond brick, topped with a thatched roof. The building has a rectangular plan and features double plank doors at the south gable end. On the east-facing elevation, there is a plank door flanked by two 4-pane windows. The interior has not been inspected. This garage occupies a prominent position on a corner opposite Wysteria and Manor Cottages. At the time of the last survey in May 1987, the thatch was noted to be in poor condition.
